Do you know anything about Ringelmann effect? I was working today and thinking about it the whole time.
The Ringelmann effect is the tendency for individual members of a group to become increasingly less productive as the size of their group increases.
In 1930 Ringelmann found that having group members work together on a task (e.g., pulling a rope) actually results in significantly less effort than when individual members are acting alone. Furthermore, Ringelmann discovered that as more and more people are added to a group, the group often becomes increasingly inefficient, ultimately violating the notion that group effort and team participation reliably leads to increased effort on behalf of the members. If set one person’s effort for 100%, two people together will pull a robe each of them only 93% from their ability, four people together will put only 49% of their effort knowing that there is somebody else is working for them.
Not much to add, apart from if you want to make job done do it yourself or delegate it to only ONE person or better to the person number ONE. But person number One it is me. Circle is closed.
Известный эффект Рингельмана заставил меня грустить сегодня. Вернее не эффект, а его очевидность на работе.
В общем в районе 30-х годов прошлого столетия Рингельман установил, что один из механизмов функционирования группы состоит в том, что с увеличением численности группы производительность ее членов уменьшается. То есть индивидуальный вклад каждого из участников группы уменьшается по мере того, как размер группы растет.
Если усилия одного человека брать за 100%, когда он работает один, то в группе двое участников покажут результат не более 93% на каждого, восемь членов группы будут напрягаться всего на 43% от своего максимума. Ниже приведена никому ненужная формула:
С = 100 – 7*(К-1),
где С — средний индивидуальный вклад участников; К — количество участников группы.
Вот мне и подумалось, что если хочешь что- то сделать, то делай это сам или делегируй работу только одному человеку. Или ещё лучше – человеку номер один. Но человек номер один – это я. И вот круг замкнулся.
